Participant rights

Safeguarding

Preventing and responding to violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation (often called VANE) is part of safe Support Coordination and Connection Services in Western Australia.

Zero tolerance

Felix SCC does not tolerate violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination toward people with disability. We take allegations seriously, support the person involved, and escalate to police and the NDIS Commission when required.

What we do in coordination practice

  • listen carefully to concerns from participants, families, and providers
  • document risks and practice alerts as part of our G.U.I.D.E method
  • connect people to appropriate safeguarding and support pathways
  • avoid conflicts that could silence concerns about a provider
  • report and escalate according to law and NDIS Commission expectations

Incidents

Where an incident, allegation, or near miss relates to our service or a provider connection we are involved in, we will record it, assess risk, support the participant, and notify authorities when required. You can also raise issues through complaints and feedback.
